Do You See What I See?
I am very good at minding my own business. So much so, that if something is going on within the area I am located, I may have no idea what happened. I can get so lost in what’s going on in my mind that I block out everything around me. If asked, “do you see what I see?”, my response would be “see what?” It’s crazy how you can be so close to something but have no clue about what is going on.
Can anyone relate?
Have you ever been so wrapped up in your own world that you may find life passing you by? Could your future spouse be right in front of you, but you are too distracted looking back at your past relationship? Is it possible that a promotion is around the corner but you’re still hung up on the constructive criticism you received in your evaluation? Maybe it’s that you could have some debt paid off within a few months but you’re more focused on trying to keep appearances.
With 2019 being a couple of days away, so many of us are setting goals to accomplish. In all your planning, have you taken the time to ask God to reveal to you His plan for your life? It is very well possible that He is trying to show you something, but you are too busy making your own plans.
Can’t you see it?
God is making a way for you to accomplish something great. Just because it may seem difficult, don’t run from it. Even though you don’t know where the funds will come from to make it happen, God says that He has already made a way. The process has begun, but because we can’t see it immediately, we either take matters into our own hands or become paralyzed with fear.
Forget what didn’t work in the past.
God is doing a new thing in your life now. Old things have passed away. Talk to Him and ask for directions. Open up the Bible and begin reading His word. He has something to tell you and even more to show you. God is asking “Do you see what I see?”. It could be right in front of you but you won’t be able to see it until you begin to focus on Him. So I implore you today, pay attention and open your eyes. There’s something new in 2019 waiting on you.
In Relentless Pursuit,
“But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” – Isaiah 43:18-19 NLT
